Cactus Varied Industries is a millwright and fabrication company located in Amarillo, TX.  A division of Cactus Feeders, Cactus Varied Industries offers a variety of millwright and fabrication services. 

Job Description: 

The Millwright Field Crew position is responsible for working in a feed mill setting on projects consisting of replacement, repair and maintenance of mill equipment. Projects will be focused on feedmills, millwright systems, and technical operations at both the Cactus Varied Industries warehouse and outside operations. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Directly works on assigned construction or repair projects that involve enhancements, upgrades or repair of Millwright operations or equipment
• Perform millwright work including major overhauls of rotating equipment
• Work closely with project managers, customers, and other plant supervisors to ensure accuracy and a quality product through all phases of installation and repair. 
• Responsible for organizing pipe fittings and welding tasks to adjust machine parts and replace parts of machines that have fallen into disrepair
• Work may require overnight travel to jobsites and infrequent weekend work.
• Follows and abides by all Cactus Varied Industries’ safety policies, work procedures, and OSHA regulations 

Qualifications: 

• 2-10 years’ experience in Millwright Operations or Field Crew operations 
• Able to operate various types of mechanical equipment and installation tools 
• Working knowledge of feedmill operations and agricultural milling operations is preferred but not required
• Welding experience a must (primarily carbon and stainless steel).
• Pipe fitting experience a plus.
